Dr. Jay Grossman's 50 Hour Applied Kinesiology course is designed to fit busy schedules. Avoiding key holidays, the course is conveniently offered in three weekend-long sessions from October 2023 through January 2024.
SESSION 1: October 14-15, 2023
Principles of AK and muscle testing, standard AK techniques (strain/counterstrain, fascial techniques, trigger points), Lumbar spine and SOT pelvic categories, respiratory faults, spinal fixations, specific muscle testing and nutritional principles of inflammation/adrenal dysfunction.
SESSION 2: November 25-26, 2023
Lower extremity muscle testing (knee and foot), extremity subluxation and challenge, Skin/Scars, more AK techniques (Ligament Interlink, Reactive Muscles, Aerobic/Anaerobic Testing, Muscle Proprioception), Extensor Weakness, Detoxification and Iliocecal valve problems.
SESSION 3: January 20-21, 2024
Cervical spine examination, Hidden cervical disc, Shoulder Examination, AC/SC Joint, Biceps Tendon, Entrapments (scalenii, costoclavicular, pectoralis minor), Lymphatic drainage issues, Diaphragm, Elbow examination, Pronator/Supinator syndromes and Wrist Strain/Sprains, Carpal/Ulnar Tunnel Syndrome.
Important:
If you would like to attain your Basic 100 hour AK certification, you will need to complete the second 50 hour AK course program and pass the certification exam. Details and dates for the required sessions can be scheduled at a future date.

This course represents the continuation of the Basic Applied Kinesiology seminar series and is designed to complete the 100 Hr. AK course including Certification Exam. Avoiding key holidays, the course is conveniently offered in three weekend- long sessions from February 2024 through April 2024.
SESSION 4: February 3-4, 2024
Cranial Osteology and Sutural examination, Cranial motion analysis, Cranial myofascial referral patterns and treatment. Sutural analysis and treatment. Relationship to the HPA. TMJ anatomy and motion, TMJ disorders, Muscle and joint treatment options. Relationship of chewing to neck muscles and hyoid.
SESSION 5: March 9-10, 2024
Acupuncture Meridian therapy theory and analysis. Meridian-muscle-spinal level relationships and related muscle testing. Point selection for treatment. Five element theory and the relationship to Western medical diagnoses. Meridian imbalance analysis and treatment using non-needle techniques, nutrition and spinal manipulation
SESSION 6: April 13-14, 2024
AK Treatment protocol development, finding hidden problems, lymphatic & visceral correction, Adjunctive AK techniques. 100 hour course review & Certification Exam.

Dr. Jay Grossman's Nutrition for Musculo-skeletal conditions course is designed to fit busy schedules. Avoiding key holidays, the course is conveniently offered on the evenings of Friday April 5th and Saturday April 6th 2024.
APRIL 5 Topics:
Basic biochemistry of muscle contraction. Muscle Spasm: Considerations for the use of magnesium, calcium, potassium, glycine and GABA.
Biochemistry of Inflammation: Prostaglandins and Leukotrienes. Considerations for EPA, resolvins, curcumin and proteolytic enzymes. Indications, contraindications and dosages.
APRIL 6 Topics:
Biochemistry of muscle energy transduction: Cofactors of glycolysis, Krebs and mitochondria. Considerations for co-enzymes (b-vitamins) and cofactors (minerals), Lipoic acid and creatine.
Biochemistry of the neurotransmitter: Cofactors of neurotransmitter production: Acetylcholine, Epinephrine, Norepinephrine and Dopamine. Considerations for co- enzymes (b-vitamins) and cofactors (minerals). Myelin sheath components and oxidation prevention (DHA and antioxidants). Indications, contraindications and dosages.
